Hi, my name is Rebecca and I am the founder of First Embrace Birth and Baby. I’d like to offer you a very warm welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy.
I am a mum of 2 children, my daughter Millie and my son Toby and wife to my Husband Glenn. I have a passion for all things pregnancy and birth and supporting people throughout their journey to parenthood.
When I first found out that I was pregnant with my daughter, although the pregnancy was planned, I suddenly felt a wave of anxiety, I was so excited and yet a part of me was telling me that I couldn’t do this, I didn’t know how to do this, I suddenly started to doubt myself and my body. It was like this little seed of negativity that had been planted in my mind over the years had suddenly grown to life. The negative birth stories that I had heard, and the negative portrayal of birth on films and tv that I had seen suddenly came to the fore-front of my mind.
I decided there and then that I wouldn’t let this become my reality and I realised that it was up to me to take control of my pregnancy and birth. I signed up to various antenatal classes, pregnancy yoga classes and hypnobirthing classes and soon realised that I could do this! By educating myself on the natural process of birth, learning how I could work with my body, mind and baby, how to release the fear and remain calm and in control and by knowing all of my choices during my birth, I could go onto having the most empowering and positive birth experience, and I did!
However, we all know that pregnancy and parenthood isn’t cheap, and although attending all of the different classes and workshops that were available to me gave me the knowledge and confidence it also came at a high cost. This is what inspired me to develop First Embrace Birth and Baby and our unique blend of classes. I wanted to be able to support expectant people and their families and to be able to offer all the education and tools to a calm, empowered and positive birth in one place, at a cost that is affordable. In 2017 I began a yearlong training course to become a perinatal educator, supporting hundreds of pregnant people and their families. I have since qualified as a KGHypnobirthing teacher as well as a Sally Parkes Pre/postnatal yoga teacher, providing me with the qualifications and tools I need to be able to fully support pregnant people and their birth partners throughout their pregnancy, birth and beyond. I hope to welcome you to our classes and community soon and to support you on your positive journey.
I am here to support you now and when your baby is here. If you have any questions or would like to know more information about our classes and workshops please do not hesitate to get in contact.

I love unwinding with the yoga stretches and we've learnt some great baby massage techniques which we use at bedtime every night and it helps our baby sleep like...a baby! xxxTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Jess Miles22. A lovely mix of yoga and baby massage which we both enjoy. The combination of the class works really well for both mum and baby. I loved the sessions, as did my little one and the cup of tea and time to chat at the end of the class is definitely an added bonus. I would definitely recommend them!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Madeleine Haughton-Boakes2. April, 2024.Amazing classes. Very relaxed and my baby loved it! Signed up for the next term!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Joella Tucknott2. April, 2024.I've been to both the baby massage class and the pregnancy yoga and hypnobirthing class, and very much enjoyed both. The hypnobirthing class was great preparation for labour, and really helped me to feel calmer and more prepared for the birth. The baby massage has been lovely, and as a new mum, great to have somewhere to go with my baby that is relaxed, safe and supportive. It's been so wonderful to watch my little one enjoy the massage, songs and sensory play, and I've really enjoyed the mum focused exercise too. I hope to do another term. Thank you Becks!
